Principal's Message

Welcome to Mokena Junior High School!

I am excited to be the principal of Mokena Junior High School. I am proud of our fantastic teaching staff and our amazing community of learners. I believe that being a Mokena Meteor is something special. It is my goal to help our students achieve at the highest levels while learning how to be good citizens and people of strong character. Know that I am working hard for your children to ensure that they get the best education possible.

I believe it is important for our students and families to stay informed about what is happening at MJHS. Our website contains a lot of information about life at MJHS. I encourage you to take some time and explore each page.

One of my goals is to stay connected to the school community through several channels:

  • Friday Updates - Almost every Friday I send home a pre-recorded video update about current and upcoming events at MJHS and in District 159. I will often include links to fliers and other important information. I also include a copy of the script for those of you who would rather read the Friday Update. Friday updates are emailed to all active MJHS families on Friday afternoons.

  • Facebook, Twitter & the Live Feed - MJHS is active on Facebook, Twitter, and the website's Live Feed (found on our school home page on the right). Be sure to click the links above and check these sites regularly for current updates and information.

If you have any questions about Mokena Junior High School, the website, or please contact me at 708-342-4870 or by sending me an email at rolinitism@mokena159.org.

Sincerely

Dr. Michael Rolinitis - Principal of MJHS
