We’re proud to announce that three recipients from Mokena have been honored for their extraordinary contributions to education across the state through Illinois State Board of Education’ “Those Who Excel” program.
ISBE presents the Award of Meritorious Service to those who have shaped their school community for the better. Mokena's 3 recipients are Dr. Michael Rolinitis, Nisrin Al-Tikriti, and Israel Smith!

Shows are Fri, March 1 at 7:00pm and Sat, March 2 at 3:00 and 7:00pm at LWC.

We are excited to share that the website is LIVE to purchase tickets ($5/each) for "Guys and Dolls JR."
Showtimes are Friday, March 1 at 7:00pm and Saturday, March 2 at 3:00pm and 7:00pm
at Lincoln Way Central's Charles Stark Center for Performing Arts.

Thank you to all of the community members and staff who donated blood at the first MJHS blood drive!
Friendly reminder that the PTA-sponsored jr. high valentine's dance is this Friday, February 9 from 7 to 9 pm at MJHS!
Doors open at 6:50 pm and admission is FREE! There will be concessions available for purchase.
Encourage your junior high aged child to come to to the Valentine's Dance Party!
Cost of admission is free. Students only need money if they are going to purchase concessions.
Get your child's friends together and have a great time.
Thank you LWC staff and students for talking to our 8th graders about the high school experience! Remember: the open house at LWC for incoming freshmen is Wednesday, February 14!

Save the date for the MJHS musical!
The MJHS Scholastic Book Fair is a Month away! It will start on March 4th and run through March 8th, with a Family Night on March 5th.
We're looking for volunteers to help during the school day. If interested please contact Mrs. Mosel at mosell@mokena159.org.
Kindergarten enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year will open online Monday, Feb 5, 2024!
Incoming kindergarten students must be age 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024 to be enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year and reside within the District boundaries.
